Luisanna tejada

Luisanna Tejada is a Vinyasa, Restorative & ​Trauma-Informed focused wellness instructor ​based in Brooklyn, New York. Her offerings also ​include Sound Healing & Reiki.

Luisanna started practicing yoga about 14 years ​ago while she was always trying to find love ​outside of herself but realized that the most ​important love of all was always within.

Yoga changed her life. It has allowed her to apply ​the lessons of patience, endurance and acceptance ​to her everyday life.

When teaching, she focuses her energy on creating ​a learning environment that supports you while ​nourishing your spirit--not just helping you find ​‘the perfect pose’ because no one knows your body ​quite like YOU. That was one of the many lessons ​she has gained through yoga. Now, she is ready to ​hand the gift to you.

Maliyah gramata- ​jones

Maliyah Gramata-Jones is a multidisciplinary artist, activist and ​yogi. A poetic revolutionary walking towards purpose, peace, and ​harmony in all of her projects. Originally from Cincinnati Ohio, ​Maliyah has made the world her playground. She served as an ​arts diplomat teaching and performing around Germany, Poland, ​Japan, Canada and every corner of the United States. Maliyah ​traveled to Koh Samui, Thailand to study yoga and meditation. ​There she became a 200 hour Certified Yoga Teacher under the ​tutelage of a lifelong yogini, a buddhist nun, and a Turkish DJ. ​Maliyah completed her 300 hour teacher training at Abhaya Yoga ​in Brooklyn in 2024 under the esteemed Tara Glazier.

Maliyah teaches Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, and Restorative yoga and is ​a certified trauma informed instructor. She keeps things creative ​while sequencing asana, pranayama, and meditation to promote ​healing and transformation. Informed by what's happening in the ​stars, the news, and the energies in the room, her practice is ​designed to be specific and empowering. She’s passionate about ​creating spaces for people to be curious, successful, and in tune ​with spirit while listening to a soulful playlist.

Our retreat space is located just outside the Mayan indigenous ​village of San Marcos la Laguna on the shores of one of the most ​beautiful lakes in the world, Lake Atitlan.

The space has been lovingly developed over more than twenty ​years as a retreat center and gathering place where workshop ​leaders, teachers, friends and family reunion groups can come ​together to spend time, share wonderful meals, explore the ​Mayan world and the natural beauty of the area, practice yoga, ​swim, kayak, hike or simply relax.

If I am a new to the practice of yoga can I still attend?

Of course :), we welcome ANYONE to join no matter your experience level. .

Do I have to be 18 years or older to attend?

Yes, we recommend only people who are 18 years and older.

Can meals be accommodated to my dietary restrictions?

Yes! We can tailor your meals to accomodate ​your needs :)

Do I need a passport?

YES YES YES :)

cancellation / refund policy

If the retreat leaders cancel (due ​to an emergency or unforeseen ​circumstance etc..) guests will be ​refunded the full amount of the ​payment they have made to date, ​inclusive of the deposit.

If participant cancels

WITHIN THE MONTHS OF AUGUST 2024 - JAN 20TH, ​2025 20% OF THE AMOUNT PAID TO DATE MINUS/ ​EXCLUSIVE OF THE $500 DEPOSIT IS REFUNDED

AFTER JAN 20TH 2025 NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN
